When a girlfriend of ours asked to help with a wedding shower she was throwing, of course I agreed to help. Then she told me that the theme was vintage travel and that's when I really got excited, it screamed Hashtag. Suitcases, trunks, globes, maps, lace, cotton, burlap, postcards these were all things I was happy to gather if I didn't have already. Here are the results...

Imagine a Saturday morning as a kid watching cartoons in the middle of the living room floor. Many of you will remember watching on one of these. When a sweet lady offered this outdated TV set to me, I immediately thought of the one I had pinned on Pinterest. YES! I started by gutting and ripping out all the parts to what used to be a working TV when it was placed in my possession. A moment of silence while a few of you yell at me... Ok back to the destruction. Here are a few pictures of some of the guts that got ripped out. Then the painting began! I painted two coats on by hand then three coats of spray paint. Ahhh I love white paint on almost anything, clean, crisp and timeless!!! Shelves were added and then the newest paint color I am obsessed with (Fish Pond by Behr), burlap and a new knob. I love Pinterest...literally changed most of our lives. Although 25% of me is still old school and I love to thumb through magazines to find inspiration. I am going to let you in my office a bit. And just to make you feel better I will show you that even my house isn't completely decorated. You can see my half painted wall and frames with no photos. My business kinda blew up in the middle of this remodel. (Thanks to you guys:) I am going to half agree and disagree with Project Runway: All Stars for naming "Radiant Orchid" the color of 2014. Radiant Orchid is a dusty pink-ish purple....I am leaning more towards coral and salmon. More of a pink than red. These are not my photos and I honestly don't know any of the peeps in the pictures, just wanted you to see how you can use coral as a accent color or a main color in your room. Notice in a lot of the photos they have paired coral with grays and charcoals...of course, white too! Clean, crisp, pretty. ~Jessie
